Towan

This was my contribution to a book called ‘In Danger’ for Expedition Art. It’s a portrait of Towan, a gentle, ancient orangutan from the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle who inspired the performance of the orangutan in the new Planet of the Apes movies. Winsor and Newton Watercolor on Winsor and Newton paper.
